Ingredients

The top two ingredients in the Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette are Talc & Mica. This palette is paraben-free and cruelty-free.

The Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette is manufactured in Europe.

Application

  • Use eyeshadow base
  • Use a fluffy blending brush to blend the matte medium shadows in the crease and under the eye (optional)
  • Pack deep colors in the outer crease using a smaller precise brush
  • Apply shimmers to the eyelids using a flat packing brush or your fingers

Wear-Time for Essence Eyeshadow Palette

When worn over an eye primer, the Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette lasts on the lids for roughly 6 – 8 hours without creasing.

Without eye primer colors fade within 4-6 hours of wear time, especially on parts of the skin that are covered by the hood.

Is Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette Good for Mature Eyes?

The colors blend beautifully and have decent pigment. Although the color story is neutral, I can get many different looks from this palette. It has 6 matte eyeshadows that are perfect for mature eyes. Also, it has a little bit of fall out but overall, it’s a nice eyeshadow palette.

The Good

  • First, Essence is one of the most affordable brands on the market.
  • Second, I love the inspiration of the Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette, as well as the other destination-themed palettes. In particular, the colors in this palette are super soft and feminine. 
  • Third, I have been reaching for this palette regularly due to the” wearable” and easy color story. Perfect for light-skinned mature women.

The Bad 

  • The Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette fades on the eyes around the 4-hour mark.
  • The shimmer shades look more like satins than shimmer.
  • Palette produces fallout.
  • Not for a deep skin tone. You may find most of the colors in the palette too icy or ashy.
  • Colors are not as pigmented as they appear.

I love this palette and use it often. This is one of my favorite drugstore palettes. However, I am not in love with this palette. That being said, I still recommend this palette to beauty buyers on a budget who feel drawn in by the color story and are unable to purchase a higher-priced eyeshadow palette or want to experiment with a new range of colors.
