Review of The Body Shop Drops of Youth essence and ingredients

The purpose of Drops of Youth Essence Lotion is to open your pores for the next skincare product.

The best way to use essence-lotion is after your toner or cleansing if you don’t use toner. And before your serum.

Essence lotions have smaller molecules in them, that allow them to penetrate the skin easily. They prepare the skin for the moisture that it’s about to receive from your serums and moisturizers. You’ll find that after using an essence lotion for a while, you will use less of your serum and moisturizer.

DOY essence lotion Overview

✅ Paraben-Free      ✅ Sulfate-Free  ❎ Alcohol-Free

✅ Silicone-Free    ❎ Allergen-Free   ❎ Fungal-Acne (Malassezia) Safe

100% vegan, 99% of ingredients from natural origin and non-comedogenic.

About the Looks!

This Drops of Youth essence lotion comes in a transparent green plastic bottle with a black screw top lid.

The essence scent is very pleasant and mild and does not linger.

What Does It Do, How Does It Feel?

The essence itself is clear in color, it has the consistency of a runny gel. It is not sticky, oily or tacky. The facial essence absorbs very quickly, by the time you have put the lid back on and reached for the next skincare item in your routine it has disappeared and completely absorbed.

My Thoughts and Experience with The Drops of Youth Essence!

And a little bit goes a VERY long way – even my small sample container lasted a long time.

One bottle can last three months. I found that the size of a 10c coin is more than enough for the entire face. I applied it after washing my face, while my skin was still damp.

The only difference that I have noticed using essence; I didn’t use as much moisturizer as I usually do.

DOY essence is good for added hydration and nourishment.

It is designed to work with the rest of the Drops of Youth range.
