30-Day Minimalism Challenge one month Instagram post ideas day 1

The RULES for the 30-day Minimalism Challenge:

  • Do one assignment every day, the order is your call.
  • Don’t skip a day. That’s it.

Instagram Post Ideas for a Month

Day 1 – STAY OFFLINE FOR ONE DAY

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Social media, endless news streams, and articles all drain our energy and keep us in a constantly distracted state.

So today: Log off and enjoy the calmness of staying disconnected.

I cheated a little bit and chouse a Christmas day to do this challenge.

There is nothing better for me then to spend time with family.

  • Sleeping in
  • Luxury Breakfast with crapes
  • Opening presents
  • Cheese fondue for dinner

And of cause watching our favorite Christmas movie of all times “Love Actually”.❤

It wasn’t that hard to stay off social media. I don’t think I can do it any other day so. 😱

So what did I learn? I will use social media for not more than one or two hour a day.

I will say yes more often to crazy challenges.

I will continue to focus on my life and stop checking what others are doing.

Afterall, if we have so much free time to check what others are doing, then we clearly don’t spend enough time with our precious ones.

Day 2 – MEDITATE FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Meditation reduces stress and anxiety and gives you a ton of extra energy and mental clarity.

For today’s meditation tip – focus on body awareness.

  1. Focus on the flow of your breath.
  2. Notice whether your body feels relaxed, tense, r somewhere in between.
  3. Notice how the temperature of the room and fabric feels on your skin.

I started to practice meditation using app from a @headspace

It helped me a lot and soon it comes to Netflix. Sign to their account to get updates.

I want to end this day with quote.

“As calming as meditation can feel, the real benefits are found when we carry that quality of mind into our everyday life.” – Andy Puddicombe

Day 3 – Declutter your digital life

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Take care of your digital clutter today: Spring-clean your desktop, delete any files you don’t need anymore, and set up a simple, no-fuss folder structure.

To be honestly it will take more then a day to declutter and organize my digital life. I did a head start today and will continue through out the year.

Bellow are come guidelines for #digitaldeclatering

CLEAN YOUR COMPUTER DESKTOP(S)! 🖥
✔️Move important files to a backed-up drive
✔️Delete old files and apps
✔️Organize what’s left into folders
✔️Replace your wallpaper with something simple

Not sure how to start? Draw out a map of how you want to organize your folders before you begin. Create broad categories for folders (work, family, side hustle, volunteer, etc.) and then create sub folders in each. Create folder, file, repeat.

Set a timer and see what you can accomplish in a short amount of time! ⏱

I like the result. I feel calmer every time I look at my screen!

Day 4 – NO-COMPLAINT DAY

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Complaining is never productive and a catalyst for negative thought patterns. Challenge yourself to not complain about small stuff today. Either accept the situation and move on or find a solution.

Repetitive complaint will attract things for you to complain about. Repeated gratitude will attract things for you to be thankful about.

“Complaining causes offence to take root and grow bitterness.” – Kisha Spencer

Day 5 – IDENTIFY YOUR 3-6 MAIN PRIORITIES

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Above all, #minimalism is about figuring out what matters most to you in life and how to add more of that to your day-to-day routine.

Dig deep and make a list of your 3-6 top priorities in life.

I personally stick to three.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a terrible multi-tasker. I get overwhelmed and stressed very easily, and I work hard to continually revaluate where my time and energy goes.

Here is a few questions you can ask yourself to get started in figuring out your priorities:

  • What’s NOT a priority to me?
  • At the end of my life, what will I regret doing or not doing?
  • What am I most grateful for in life?
  • What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?
  • What are my goals in life and hopes for the future?

If you’re still struggling to figure out your priorities, here are some examples of what your priority goals could be:

  • Faith or Spirituality: Praying daily, reading the Bible, attending church, giving regularly, listening to Christian music, leading a devotional, etc…
  • Relationships: Committing to regular playdates, forcing yourself to go somewhere new to make friends. letting go of an unhealthy relationship, setting boundaries…
  • Family: Planning regular date nights, going on a family vacation, starting a weekly game night, expanding your family, fostering deeper relationships, etc…
  • Health and Wellness: Exercising four times a week, modeling body positivity for your kids, trying vegetables in new ways to find things you like, reducing refined sugar, etc…
  • Recreation or Sports: Getting outdoors regularly, biking with friends, playing volleyball on a local team, sweating through a Zumba class, etc…
  • Personal Growth or Education: Reading, taking online courses, learning a craft, taking dance lessons, cooking new recipes, etc…
  • Safety and Security: Working a side hustle to pay off debt, learning survival skills, doing your own home repairs, learning Karate, finding mentors for advice, etc…
  • Purpose or Fulfillment: Blogging, speaking, teaching, joining your city council, writing a book, volunteer work, starting a business, etc…
  • Travel or Adventure: Saving for a trip, going sight-seeing, reading books about other countries, taking your kids to new places, camping outside, etc…
  • Career: Finding ways to enjoy the commute, improving your skills and value, changing jobs, working toward a raise, separating work and home hours, etc…
  • You can make the goals as specific as you want, but the more specific you make them, the easier they will be to add to your life. If you write down “exercise” under your health priority, add more details, like how you’ll exercise, when, and how often.

The idea is to make your priorities into an actionable list so that you can physically put them on your calendar.

You can always change your priority if you fill overwhelm.

Step 6FOLLOW A MORNING RITUAL

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Start your day with a relaxing and energizing morning ritual, instead of immediately checking your email or social media.

Breakfast for one 🍳🥞🧇 and quiet mornings with a cup of coffee are my favorite. I like to wake up early because the feeling of waking up with the world is so refreshing 🌥🌤☀️

What’s your favorite part of your mornings?

Day 7 – STREAMLINE YOUR READING LIST

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: What I mean is to unsubscribe and remove bookmarks in online space. Keep only sources that are meaningful to you.

Clean Up Your Bookmarks

I’m not going to lie I am constantly trying to organize them.

Take the time to go through your folders and delete anything that is no longer relevant.

For example, I had tons of bookmarks that I had saved for my trip to Russia trip research. I no longer need this information, so I removed them.

Create folder titles that are more descriptive. This will make it easier to know what is within each folder.

Day 8 – LEARN TO ENJOY SOLITUDE

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Spend at least 3 hours (ideally more) alone, without social media or background chatter from the TV. Pay attention to what it feels like to be in complete solitude.

“Solitude is where I place my chaos to rest and awaken my inner peace.” – Nikki Rowe. I can’t say better myself.

“Solitude is good for the soul. To exist in the world as your absolute best, you need to make time to be with yourself and nurture your inner needs. Solitude allows you to re-energize, revaluate and restore.” – Ash Alves

Day 9 – DOWNSIZE YOUR BEAUTY COLLECTION

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Tackle your beauty products today! Write a list of everything you use on a regular basis from the top of your head (without checking your beauty cabinets). Throw out or give away everything else.

What fun this challenge was. I tried my best, but still, end up with 4 drawers with makeup. 🤷‍♀️😜

Day 10 – NO EMAIL OR SOCIAL MEDIA UNTIL LUNCH

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Use your most productive hours of the day to get things done and resist checking your feeds until lunchtime. Then celebrate how much more you accomplished!

Stop scrolling. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. – reference unknown.

Could you do it? 🤷‍♀️

I admit it was hard for me but I kept off 👍

Day 11 – EVALUATE YOUR COMMITMENTS

BE HONEST: Which of these do you only keep up out of obligation and which do you truly enjoy or are meaningful to you?

Day 12 – DEFINE YOUR GOALS FOR THIS YEAR

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Setting goals keeps you from living in a reactive, passive way and helps you align your daily actions with your true priorities.

Today, set aside at least thirty minutes to think about 1-3 big, exciting goals for this year.

If you did challenge of choosing your main priorities it should be fairly easy.

My business goal for 2021 is to magnetize my blog

and to make new online friends.

Day 13 – CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Reserve a full afternoon to go through your wardrobe piece-by-piece and get rid of anything that doesn’t make you feel confident and inspired.

Remove what u feel you haven’t worn for more than 8 months I doubt you’ll wear it again. stop holding on to your past sizes if you loose weight simply reward yourself by buying more trendier and hotter outfits instead of holding on to past clothes!

Having LESS actually gives you MORE options 😳.
When I have too many options, and not all ones that I LOVE ❤️ , it actually creates more overwhelm 😩

If you don’t love it, get rid of it. Donate it. It will feel good 💪🏻.

Good luck everyone.

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Learning expands your horizon and can be so much fun! Today, pick a skill you have always been curious about, gather whatever you need, and get started!

I pick photography. 📸

I hope to improve more and more but I think I’m on a good way

Day 15 – EXAMINE YOUR DAILY HABITS

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Today, take a closer look at your everyday habits, from your morning routine to the way you work to your evening activities. Which habits could you improve 🤗🤗, which should you drop, which new ones could you pick up?

Some ideas:

  • Plan the next day
  • Unplug

Day 16 – DON’T BUY ANYTHING FOR 24 HOURS

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Breakthrough an unhealthy cycle of emotional spending by going on a one-day shopping fast. Don’t buy anything, not even food or essentials, for 24 hours (make sure you prep in advance). Then see how you feel!

Day 17 – PRACTICE SINGLE-TASKING

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Nothing drains energy faster than constantly switching between multiple tasks. Practice truly focusing on one thing at a time using a timer. Stick to short bursts of concentrated work with regular breaks in-between.

30-Day Minimalism Challenge one month Instagram post ideas day 18

Day 18 – UNFOLLOW AND UNFRIEND

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: De-stress your social media experience by being a little more selective about who you follow. Do you really need to stay Facebook friends with people you haven’t spoken to in years? Go through your list and downsize.

It (literally) took an entire afternoon to do, but I went through all of the people/businesses/groups, etc. that I was following on Facebook and Instagram.

Now I only see information in my feed that interest me.

“There is nothing wrong with acknowledging you no longer belong within a certain circle or with particular energies. Unapologetically move away from surroundings that don’t build you in one way or another. If something doesn’t make you grow anymore, it’s either making you stagnant or pulling you backward. Uninvite it. Unfollow it. Block it.” – @lloydbarker

Day 19 – GO FOR A WALK AND PRACTICE MINDFULNESS

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Conscious walking is a great opportunity to practice mindfulness and take a break.

Often when I go for walk, I listen to podcast or audiobook and don’t take the time to experience what is going on around me.

We often try to tune out from the world and everything that is happening. So today’s challenge is about really tuning in to our surroundings and checking in with how we truly feel!🤩.

Mindful walking can really help to put mind in a calm state!

I hope you have fun with this one and don’t forget to smile😋✨🧠💭🙌🏽.

Day 20 – NO TV ALL DAY, READ INSTEAD

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: All electronic devices emit a blue light that disturbs our melatonin production and reduces sleep quality. So, instead of ending your night with a couple of episodes of your favorite show, cuddle up on the couch with a good book today!

You can find a list of 10 most popular books in 2020 in my post “10 Great Books to Read and The Cocktail to Pair Them With (in 2020)”

Day 21 – JOURNAL FOR TWENTY MINUTES

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Writing helps you organize your thoughts and de-stresses. Sit down for twenty minutes today to write about anything that comes to mind. If you like it, consider incorporating a quick daily writing session into your regular routine.

Always prioritise yourself before others who won’t do the same for you. 🙏

Day 22 – CREATE A RELAXING BEDTIME ROUTINE

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Improve your sleep quality and energy levels by taking the time to properly wind down at the end of each day. Do some writing, read a good book, have a cup of tea, get everything ready for the next day, etc. Try it today!

The priority this 2021 year should be taking care of yourself!!! 💓

Why not give this nighttime 🌙⭐️routine a go… self-care is so important. Let’s start the year off as we mean to go on 💋

30-Day Minimalism Challenge one month Instagram post ideas day 24

Day 24 – PRACTICE GRATITUDE

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Becoming a minimalist is above all about being mindful and appreciating the little (and big) things that are already a part of your life.

What are you grateful for today? ☀️

Gratitude can boost dopamine and serotonin, just like antidepressants and make life better.🙏

Have a wonderful Sunday. Fill it with love, even if you don’t feel like it.

Day 25 – LEAVE A WHOLE DAY UNPLANNED

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: In our culture, we are so used to making the most out of every free minute of the day, it can be almost scary to not have any plans for once. Be brave today and see where it takes you.

I can never do that; it gives me anxiety. 😒 I LOVE to plan.

I am skipping this one.

Day 26 – IDENTIFY YOUR STRESS TRIGGERS

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: The first step towards reducing everyday stress is to pinpoint your personal triggers. Try this: Take notes of your stress levels and your activities at regular intervals throughout a weekday. Once you have identified your stress triggers, figure out how you could prevent or counteract them in the future.

What causes stress?

  • being under lots of pressure.
  • facing big changes.
  • worrying about something.
  • not having much or any control over the outcome of a situation.
  • having responsibilities that you’re finding overwhelming.
  • not having enough work, activities or change in your life.
  • times of uncertainty.

I am normal. I have them ALL. 😱

Day 27 – CLEAR OUT YOUR JUNK DRAWER

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Getting rid of clutter can have an almost therapeutic effect, because it helps you deal with all of the different emotions that are attached to your stuff. Complete your own therapy session today by cleaning out the most cluttered drawer/box/corner of your house.

30-Day Minimalism Challenge one month Instagram post ideas day 28

Day 28 – LETS GO OF A GOAL

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: The key to achieving goals as a minimalist is to set the right ones in the first place! Instead of chasing things, you think you should want, figure out what would truly make you happy. Let go of any goals that aren’t meaningful to you for good today.

#30day_challenge #challenges #onechallenge  #minimalizm #minimalismchallenge

Day 29- TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Email and social media notifications make for a very reactive workflow. Just for today: Turn off all notifications and check your feeds only at designated times.

Day 30 – EVALUATE YOUR LAST FIVE PURCHASES

CHALLENGE FOR THE DAY: Developing more ethical and less consumerist spending habits is key to living a simpler life. Today, assess your last five non-essential purchases. How useful did they turn out to be and how could you improve your purchasing decisions in the future?
